| The Minor Planet Center provides a list of recent (up to one month
old) observer assigned
temporary designations as given on the NEO Confirmation page here.
These are used by observers to check the provisional designation
assigned to objects by the Minor Planet Center that they were observing while
listed on the NEO
Confirmation Page.
Older designations should be available via an MPC service here, but
this has not been operational recently.
Links to lists of older designations are provided below from archives
compiled at Great Shefford Observatory from the original MPC page. They are generally complete
from 19 Aug 2002 onwards, with occasional gaps as indicated within the
lists and below.
